Our inspection uncovered a failed opener and chain. The customer moved into the home a few years ago with existing openers already installed. No prior service or maintenance has been performed. During our Safe & Sound Inspection, we found the double door springs were original from 1997, while rollers had been previously replaced, and the door showed signs of past lubrication. Both openers had loose belts, and bottom seals on both doors were in poor condition. We reviewed all findings with the customer and recommended spring replacement on the double door and new bottom seals on both doors. Customer approved and signed an estimate for same-day service. We replaced bottom seals and retainers on both doors, installed new .243 springs on the double door, tested operation, and completed full lubrication and maintenance on both doors and openers.
